The Shepherd’s Retreat is a great blessing every year! The heart of Christ-like love that is demonstrated in a practical way is undeniable… Thank you for providing that encouragement in such a dynamic way. The fellowship with other pastors, as well as the planned sessions on many necessary topics that we face often, are such a blessing. I was challenged and refreshed.

To Encourage & Be Encouraged … These words express our personal observations of the Annual Shepherd’s Retreat graciously hosted by Pastor Chris Starr and the good folks of Mount Zion Baptist Church. It is an event that we look forward to every year. We typically take an extra day in the area and enjoy the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside. We ALWAYS leave greatly encouraged. The sessions, fellowship, and warmth displayed by Pastor Starr are helpful, healing, and uplifting. This is not an axe-grinding event or an event of bigwigs. This is an event for “normal” servants. Come and be encouraged. Come and encourage others. But … By All Means, Come!
